It starts with an Electronic ID
Every electronic tag has an unique number. This unique number is used to identify individual animals similar to how you can be identified by your id or passport. To identify individuals, however, doesn’t mean much if we can’t collect data on these individuals and utilize the collected data in order to carry out effective management decisions.
Collecting Data
With RFID readers, the electronic tags can be read and data can be linked to the ID’s. It’s also possible to read ID’s and display the pre-recorded data.
Carrying out management decisions
By having collected data, management decisions can be executed very easily in bulk. This is possible using systems which reads the Electronic ID and recalls the data linked to the ID to perform an action meeting some pre-defined criteria.
