Next-Generation Fruit Drying Just Became the New Standard
With agriculture being considered as one of the most important economic activities in the continent of Africa, employing two-thirds of the population and making between 20 to 60 per cent of each individual country’s GDP, it comes to no surprise that there is plenty of room for innovation in this sector.
Dynamic Dryers International (DDI) saw that there was a substantial gap in the market of fruit drying and has been innovating in this sector since. With completed projects throughout Africa, multiple ongoing and even more planned, Dynamic Dryers International has been expanding in the industry and innovating as they go. Skilled engineers ensure each client’s needs are met and that every project receives hands-on attention. Our engineers go above and beyond the industry standard, revolutionizing the average dryer and its ancillary equipment, ensuring quicker drying times and homogeneous fruit and vegetable processing.
Various types of dryers can be used for the drying of fruit or vegetables.
Container Dryer

Container Dryer
The container dryer is a popular mobile dryer made from the modification of a 20 foot shipping container. The dryer can be either heated with a direct gas-fired burner or hot water to air heater. The standard container dryer typically loads 1.5 ton wet prepared mango or other fruits. This is a good option for remote areas or early phase processing plants.
Fixed Standing Dryer

Fixed Standing Dryer
Fixed standing dryers enables the loading of larger capacities. The most common are 1.5-ton, 2-ton, 3 ton and 4-ton wet prepared product(mango capacity). The fixed standing dryers are based on the next-gen design to improve homogenous drying and reduce drying time.
Hot Water Heated Dryer
Hot water heated dryers use an air to water heat exchanger to heat the drying environment. Hot water is circulated from a hot water kettle to the dryers in a closed loop. The hot water kettle commonly burns coal, wood or biomass in a closed cycle and is used to heat multiple dryers.
Gas Dryer

Gas Dryer
Gas dryers make use of a direct-fired gas burner to heat the drying environment. This is commonly used in the container dryer, either as a backup or as the primary heating source.
SO2 Applicator

SO2 Applicator
The SO2 Applicator conveys plastic drying racks and automatically applies a precise and uniform preservative dosage to the product. The applicator drastically reduces the variance of the preservative PPM (parts per million) on the final product.
Processing Conveyor
Custom designed Processing conveyors are built from Stainless steel material with food grade belts or modular plastics to convey product through the facility. Some applications require a roller conveyor or drying rack line to move drying racks without the need of a motor. The drying rack line can also be fitted with a scale and digital readout for precise loading of product onto the trays.
The processing conveyors are commonly fitted with a vertically mounted cutting head assembly on the side of the conveyor. Multiple rotating blades cut the product into uniform thickness without damaging the belt.
Stainless Steel Tables
Custom designed Stainless steel tables are built to either integrate with the processing conveyors and waste lines with chutes. It is also used for dry fruit removable and can be built in a slanted position to aid dry fruit removal.
As well as having various successful projects in South Africa, DDI is no stranger to the greater Africa and beyond. DDI has undergoing and completed multiple projects scattered across South Africa, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Ivory coast, Senegal, India and Haiti to name a few.
