Powderplast: Dry powder milling of plastic resins

PowderPlast is a team of experts that specialise in dry powder milling (or pulverising) of plastic resins. They are more than willing to help clients with all their milling needs.

At our various and unique milling operations, which are strategically-positioned around South Africa, we can accommodate our customer’s exact power needs and specifications. We regularly process resins such as LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, EVA, PP.

The resin is milled into the required granular size and melt flow rate as prescribed by the customer. The particle size of the polymer resin is continually monitored and evaluated to maintain quality and integrity.

Through the process of compounding, we can extrude the resins and add pigments or other additives to meet the required colour and homogenised blend. All colours are available as required, including natural, granite, etc.

Furthermore, a one-time foaming additive is available and supplied in compound form, ready for rotational moulding. We are also set to carry out trials to test specific specialised requirements on behalf of our customer.
