NviroTek Laboratories is a world-class analytical facility that offers a range of chemical analyses of soils, water, leaves, feeds, forage, fertiliser, lime, growth media and compost for different agricultural sectors throughout Southern Africa. The required permits are in place to receive samples from most African countries.
This independent, sophisticated laboratory was established after an extensive benchmarking exercise against six prominent North American agri-laboratories.
The best equipment and techniques available have been utilised to ensure adherence to international standards for quality and turn-around time. The laboratory is recognised as one of the world’s “mega” agricultural laboratories, and by March 2017, had analysed in excess of one million soil samples.
Formal associations have been established with several prominent North American agricultural laboratories. The company also holds the license from AGVITA Analytical (PTY) LTD in Australia, to offer new technology in plant and soil testing. The laboratory is a member of AgriLASA (Agri-laboratory Association of Southern Africa) and follows recognised methods of analyses. It also is a member of the North American ALP Proficiency Test Scheme for soils, coordinated by CTS Incorporated in Colorado, USA.
Staff members are multi-skilled, and management has extensive experience in the different sectors of the agri-laboratory industry and actively takes part in the structures of AgriLASA.
New techniques offered on soils in view of the focus on sustainable soil health, include the Solvita soil microbial test as well as aggregate stability and active carbon.
