DEGITECH ENERGY is a is a multi-disciplinary engineering and infrastructure development company involved in specialized engineering, construction, investment and turnkey projects across the African continent and other parts of the world.
The company has been formed primarily to offer professional services as well as turnkey solutions to facility and infrastructure services implementation and delivery. However, in response to increasing need for fund raising for capital projects, the firm now has an investment arm that is able to raise capital for viable and bankable business projects across the African continent and elsewhere in the world
The core services of DEGITECH ENERGY include the following:
Infrastructure projects (water schemes, energy projects, transportation, etc)
Township and housing development (property development, mixed use development)
Solar power plant development, operation and management
Turnkey project implementation (feasibility, planning, design, construction, handover)
Electrical engineering projects (power generation, distribution and reticulation, etc)
Water Infrastructure projects (bulk water and wastewater treatment)
Build, own, operate and transfer projects.
Renewable Energy Supply
Degitech Energy has a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies and can assist with projects in the following fields:
Solar Energy Supply
Solar Water Heating
Hydro Power Plant
Power Plant Technology
Sustainable Agriculture – Biogas
Biogas is a renewable energy source with much scope for production from agricultural waste and production in rural area on relatively small scale.
The gases methane, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide (CO) can be combusted or oxidized with oxygen. This energy release allows biogas to be used as a fuel ; it can be used for any heating purpose, such as cooking. It can also be used in a gas engine to convert the energy in the gas into electricity and heat.
Biogas can be compressed, the same way as natural gas is compressed to CNG, and used to power motor vehicles. In the United Kingdom, for example, biogas is estimated to have the potential to replace around 17% of vehicle fuel.
Biogas can be cleaned and upgraded to natural gas standards, when it becomes bio-methane. Biogas is considered to be a renewable resource because its production-and-use cycle is continuous, and it generates no net carbon dioxide.
